The Bloomington Karate Center offers traditional classes in Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do for all ages. Eight classes per week are offered Monday through Saturday.
Hapkido
Hapkido, the art of coordinating
internal power, was developed in Korea in the early 1920's by founder
Yong Sool Choi. These defensive techniques were originally taught to the
ruling family and the royal court officials and therefore known as the
martial art of the royalty. Manipulating the small joints of the body
along with pressure point manipulation allows a smaller person to effectively
defend against and control a much larger and stronger opponent.
Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do,
the art of kicking and punching, is the national sport of Korea. We teach
the Song Moo Kwan traditional style. This system teaches many kicks, punches
and strikes and is a most popular form of martial art in America.
Bloomington Karate Center effectively
combines these two systems in its courses to provide a complete self defense and
exercise program for any individual. Additionally, our students can earn world
recognition ranking in both forms of martial arts.

Minneapolis Police Department
Mr. Mullin directly teaches each graduating class fom the Minneapolis Police Academy
in self defense instruction, control techniques and weapon retention.
The Academy runs a minimum of 2 graduating classes through every year.
Bloomington Karate Center has alway catered to law enforcement. We have trained Bloomington,
Minneapolis, St. Paul, Prior Lake, Savage, Shakopee and Fridley Police and the
Minnesota Highway Patrol. Also we have students affiliated with United States Marshall
Service, FBI and seceret service federal services.
Monday and Friday we offer early classes for children ages 4 and up. This class is focused on young martial artists to be fun and interesting while at the same time a learning experience.

We offer special self defense classes to individuals not looking for traditional instruction but just how to defend and protect themselves. Special classes are also available for law enforcement and security personnel.
